Environment Clearance |
Public Hearing was conducted at two places i) Nirath in Distt Shimla and ii) Khegsu in Distt Kullu on 05.05.2011 & 06.05.2011. Public Hearing at Parlog (Distt. Mandi ) on 07.05.2011 was adjourned after disruption by a group of locals, was rescheduled and conducted on 09.08.11. Himachal Pradesh State Pollution Control Board has forwarded the case to MOEF, GOI on 19.09.2011 for further action. The final copy of EIA/EMP report was submitted to MOEF, GOI on 31.10.2011. MOEF forwarded the case to Environmental Appraisal Committee(EAC). MOEF placed the case before Expert Appraisal Committee (EAC) in its 56th meeting held on 30th and 31st March, 2012 at New Delhi.
Comments received on 19.04.2012 and reply is being prepared for further submission to MoEF. |

Submission of modified CAT plan. |
The CAT plan with an outlay of Rs. 124.66 cr was accepted by PCCF, Shimla during March,2010. The report was sent to GoHP on 29.06.10 along with diversion of Forest land case. The case was forwarded by GoHP to MoEF on 04.04.11and is under process. |

Additional Drilling:- Total 7650.40m drilling has been completed
Additional Drifting :--Total 943.00m drifts have been excavated. |

TEC of Detailed Project Report |
Revised DPR was submitted to CEA on 22.03.2011.
A presentation was made to CEA , in response to which CEA cleared the proposal to have Luhri HEP as single stage twin tunnel scheme.
Subsequently, CEA vide letter date 29th Sept, 2011 raised certain observations whose reply submitted to CEA on 29.09.11.
Thereafter CEA vide letter dated 13.10.11 again suggested addl. laboratory & Field Investigations to be carried out. The reply to these observations has been submitted to CEA by Design Deptt. in January , 2012. Suggested investigations shall be carried out in consultation with concerned departments.
CEA cleared “Instrumentation Aspect” of LHEP on 23 .02.2012. CEA/CWC has cleared provisions in respect of “Gates & Hoists Equipments” on 27.02.2012. |

Diversion of Forest land (181-53-69hac) |
GoHP recommended and forwarded the case to MOEF, GOI on 04.04.11, who directed Regional office Chandigarh for conducting site inspection. Additional PCCF, Chandigarh inspected the site on 18th & 19 th Nov, 2011 and further forwarded the case to MOEF , GOI on 25.11.11. The case placed before Forest Advisory Committee(FAC)by MOEF, GoI on 2nd April,2012. Comments received. |

Acquisition of Private land required for the execution of the project |
Out of 27 land acquisition cases in the three districts namely, Shimla, Kullu and Mandi, 26 cases have been notified under section IX & X. 24 Cases sent to District Collector for approval of Market value out of which for 04 Cases approval of Market Value received from District Collector. |

Permanent magazines:- (Two sites i.e. Kirti & Sunni)
Portable magazines:- (Three sites i.e. Lunsu, Ogli &Nirath)
The cases will be processed after diversion of Forest land/Acquisition of private land.

Widening of
Luhri – Sunni road through HPPWD. |
An advance of Rs 50 lac was released to HPPWD on 21.10.11 for initiating the land acquisition process,EIA/ EMP report and SIT report is under preparation and will be submitted shortly. PWD has identified private land and has requested land acquisition officer to prepare revenue papers and initiate land acquisition process. |

Arrangement of Construction Power. |
Cost estimate amounting to Rs. 3776.80 lacs for construction of 220/66Kv Sub-Station at Nadokhar , near Sunni by LILO of one circuit of Bhaba Kunihar line (Deposit scheme ) received from HPSEB vide their letter dated 25.08.2011. Comments were sent to HPSEB Ltd. Further, in the last week of Oct, a meeting was held between Elect. Design Deptt. and HPSEB Ltd. wherein it was decided that HPSEB Ltd. shall submit a revised estimate. Revised estimate amounting to Rs. 3819.79 lacs received on 22.02.2012 from HPSEB Ltd. Estimate is under Financial concurrence. |
